Central Vermont New Directions Coalition uses many strategies to accomplish its goals and objectives, including:
- School Curricula at the elementary, middle and high school levels
- Girls/Boyz First Mentoring Program matching adults/teens with elementary and middle school-age youth
- Youth Anti-Tobacco Campaign
- Parent Education
- Training for coaches and adults who work with youth
- Adult/Teen Dialogue Nights
- Retailer/Server Trainings in collaboration with the Department of Liquor Control
- Tobacco Education Programs for schools and community members
- Building and maintaining a coalition of youth and adults interested in working together
- Community education such as the traffic stop flyer
