If you are 21 and over and live in Washington County, check out our new Livemoredrinklessvt.org website. It is a social marketing campaign designed to reduce high risk drinking among young adults 21-25 years old. The website has a lot of resources to help young adults think about alcohol and how it fits into their lives. A key feature is the echeckup-To Go, a confidential on-line quiz that helps you analyze your personal drinking behavior and compare it to others'. We want to move young adults from not thinking about their drinking (pre-contemplation) to thinking about their drinking behavior (contemplation). This is a critical step in changing behavior. Prevention Coalitions in central Vermont created this campaign to make a difference in the health of our young adults.

By completing the survey and entering the drawing you could win one of the following prizes!

* iPad 2-Wi-Fi, 16 GB
* iPod touch-32 GB
* Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch Tablet
* iTunes gift card

Casey Willard and Erin Glock won an iPad and an iPod in the last drawing.

Kevin Durgin, Rachel Rollins and Emily Klein were the winners of last spring's drawing.

Embarrassing Prom Video Contest-Alcohol & Prom Don't Mix

On Thursday, April 14th, U-32 students were recognized by the START Team (Stop Teen Alcohol Risk Team) for taking top spots in the Embarrassing Prom Video Contest. U-32 students, along with all other Washington County High School students, were invited to make 30 second videos about the embarrassing consequences of mixing alcohol with prom.

There were prizes awarded for both the best group video and individual video. Kaitlyn Day, Shannon Thibeault, Ashley Gant, Ryan Belliveau, Nathan Lafont and Jordan Blais won the group prize of $800 to be used toward a group prevention activity.
